Kulanu is pleased that Yoash Mayende and Sarah Nabagala from Uganda were able to explore Jewish learning, culture, and community and meet other Jews from around the world through the Brandeis Collegiate Institute’s (BCI) Summer Immersion Program this summer. BCI, “a laboratory for living Judaism,” more than met the expectations of Sarah and Yoash, according to their enthusiastic reports. En route to the program in California, they visited with Kulanu friends in Chicago and Los Angeles and afterward spent time in Boston and New York City. We at Kulanu love collaborating with our partners Navah Kelman Becker and Amanda Gropper Sissman at BCI.
