Kulanu 2019 Impact Story
Dear Friends,
Happy Chanukah! This week we are highlighting a few impact stories so you can see how your gift can make all the difference for Jews longing to “come home.”
Nigeria’s Tzion Kids Academy is just one of the more than 50 communities around the world that hosted a special event, Kulanu Across the Globe, in honor of Kulanu’s 25th anniversary.
Kulanu Across the Globe was truly a worldwide event. During the weekend of November 15-17, 2019, more than 1,000 people representing synagogues and Jewish organizations on five continents shared films, music, readings, and photographs to highlight Kulanu’s worldwide mission to acknowledge, appreciate and celebrate Jewish diversity.
Yosef Zurishaddi Shmuel in Nigeria had this to say about Kulanu Across the Globe:
“The event created a sense of belonging and an atmosphere of unity and oneness among Jews. Most Jews in this part of the world …believe they are alone and are not recognized…This event reassured us that we Jews in Nigeria are part of Jewish communities around the globe. We have high hopes that there will be stronger relationships to keep the flame burning. Mazel Tov, Kulanu!”
Kulanu needs your help to continue its support of our many international partner communities. Just like the Kulanu group in Nigeria – an active, vibrant and grateful Kulanu partner – there is much work to be done. Your generous donation can bring joy, love, and a sense of belonging to isolated Jewish communities around the world.
Please donate online now or send a check to Kulanu, c/o Harriet Bograd (address below) to secure Kulanu’s future! If you have already given, thank you!
Please consider making a multi-year donation or a regular monthly gift that will allow us the freedom Kulanu needs to efficiently plan for the future.
Thank you for being part of “all of us”!
Warm regards,
Harriet
