The New Faces of Kulanu
April 26, 2015
In the last several weeks, the Kulanu volunteer community has changed shape: we’ve had to say goodbye to some board members, and we’ve also been able to say hello to new volunteers, some filling new roles that have been created in response to Kulanu’s recent growth and expansion.
Goodbye and good luck to retiring board members Jack Zeller (who will remain as President Emeritus), Judith Manelis (who also served as editor of the Kulanu magazine since 2009, and Board Vice-President since 2010), Marcy Stein, and Rabbi Steven Leon. Many many thanks for all the time, all the energy, and all the attention you gave to Kulanu, and for the incredible ways you supported Jewish communities around the world. Thank you for your involvement, and we wish you luck in your future endeavors.
Welcome and thank you to new Kulanu board members Judi Kloper and Isaac Reshad; In-Kind Donations Coordinator Amy Oliver; Regional Co-Coordinator for Ghana Laura Ross-Perry; Music Coordinator Ya’arah Pinchas; and new Multimedia and Communications volunteers Sirena Rubinoff (Facebook Host), Michelle Schindelheim (Email Manager), Marc Rattner (Multimedia Coordinator), and Louise Spergel (Copy Editor, PowerPoint Designer, and Network Troubleshooting Manager).
We are very excited to be making plans and working with such a talented group of volunteers. I have high hopes for what we can accomplish as these new individuals join our existing network of fabulous volunteers, activists, and community leaders that work hard to support Jews everywhere.
If you or someone you know would like to make an impact in the lives of Jewish communities around the world, consider getting involved as a Kulanu volunteer! Visit www.kulanu.org/volunteer to learn more and apply. We look forward to hearing from you.
