Kupakwashe Marazani, a young member of the Lemba Jewish community of Zimbabwe, has been traveling a lot lately. This month, he went on a Birthright trip – a ten-day journey through Israel that brings Jewish young adults together to learn from and connect with other Jews; see birthrightisrael.com. This was the final leg of Kupa’s recent travels, after which he returned to Zimbabwe with many memories and new friends!

Kupa’s time abroad began last summer with the Brandeis Collegiate Institute (BCI) summer immersion program in California. He then participated in the Jewish Experiential and Nature Educators (JENE) fellowship program at American Jewish University’s Brandeis Bardin campus.
