How to Host a Kulanu Watch Party
Are you looking for ways to bring people together socially while also enriching all of your Jewish lives? Host a Kulanu Watch Party and have fun educating your group about Judaism around the world!
Inspire your friends with the touching stories of communities struggling to practice their faith; engage your colleagues in deep conversations about Jewish diversity; show your neighbors how to help isolated and emerging Jewish communities around the world — all in one enlightening event.
Hosting a Kulanu Watch Party is simple:
- Select a Kulanu community to highlight (see www.kulanu.org/communities).
- Pick a date and time (and location, if not at your home).
- Contact Katie Rosenthal, Kulanu’s program coordinator, to help you find multimedia resources like a community photo album, slideshow, film, YouTube playlist, or music to play at your party.
- Invite friends, family, colleagues, and neighbors to attend. (Ask your guests to bring a snack to share to make it even easier for you to play host.)
- Have fun!
Go to www.kulanu.org/contact to let us know that you’re interested, and we’ll make sure you have everything you need for a successful Kulanu Watch Party.
We look forward to helping you host a unique experience!
And as a special gift for you and your guests, you’ll receive complimentary copies of our book Under One Canopy: Readings in Jewish Diversity, when you host a Kulanu Watch Party and insert our donation slips into each book. “Under One Canopy”, edited by Kulanu co-founder Karen Primack, is a truly diverse collection of stories that describe the Jewish journeys and experiences of writers from around the world.
Please contact us at least two to three weeks before your watch party so we can get these great books to you on time, along with other Kulanu materials to enhance your event. Thanks so much for helping educate others about Jewish diversity!
