Programs for Lemba Community Member

Congratulations to Kupakwashe Marazani from Zimbabwe on being accepted to two Jewish learning programs!

After his summer program at the Brandeis Collegiate Institute in California, Kupa was accepted to the Jewish Experiential and Nature Educators (JENE) Fellowship program at American Jewish University’s Brandeis Bardin campus. According to the AJU web site, ”This experiential training program will prepare you to be a Jewish educator who is able to transform the outdoors into a natural Jewish learning environment and to make nature a co-teacher in the classroom.” He was also accepted to participate in a Birthright trip this January (Taglit-Birthright Israel), giving him the chance to have an educational – and transformative – tour through Israel with other young Jews, learning Israeli and Jewish history, Judaic studies, Jewish philosophy, and more.

Please note: if you live in the Los Angeles area and would like to host Kupa for Shabbat or other social events – or know someone who would – please let me know! He will be at AJU’s Brandeis Bardin campus until mid-December. Thank you!
