Summer Travel Plans

This summer, Kulanu is coordinating several international visits by members of our communities in Africa and Central America. We are very excited to be supporting these students and emerging Jewish leaders as they expand their horizons and connect with Jews from different places.
Check out these great travel plans:
  • Hezekiah Chibuike Nwafor and Solomon Nnaemezuo Yaakob from Nigeria, and Demeke Engida from Ethiopia are attending the yeshiva in Uganda run by Rabbi Gershom Sizomu to study Judaism alongside members of the Abayudaya community.
  • Victor Oscal Gonzalez from Guatemala and Kupakwashe Marazani from Zimbabwewere accepted into the well-known Jewish immersion experience at the Brandeis Collegiate Institute in California. They will be visiting homes in the US before and after.
  • Kulanu friends helped Yoash Mayende from Uganda to get a job as a summer camp counselor at Berkshire Emanuel Camp in New York, in the Berkshires. Yoash will stay in the US until just before Rosh Hashana, and will be visiting friends during late August and September.
