Sad News from Uganda

All of us at Kulanu mourn the death of Aaron Kintu Moses, a beloved leader of the Abayudaya community, and founder and director of the Hadassah School.

We invite you to review Kulanu’s 2012 Tribute Journal in honor of Aaron Kintu Moses and his wife, Naume Sabano. The journal is full of photos and testimonials in appreciation of Aaron and Naume.

Karen and Aron Primack, two of Kulanu’s founders, wrote:

At this time, when many things seem to be going wrong, the loss of Aaron Kintu is indeed more very sad news. We felt close to him even before we met him, for he submitted the introductory article about the Abayudaya community for the Autumn 1994 Kulanu Newsletter.

The following year, on Kulanu’s first mission to Uganda, we met Aaron, who was the secretary of the community, and his wife Naume, and enjoyed their warm friendship. Our most recent visit with Aaron occurred in 2017, when we took our grandchildren to Uganda. The children at the Hadassah School, which Aaron founded and directed, sang and played unforgettable music for us.

May Aaron’s memory be for a blessing.
