Pan African Conference this May
Due to COVID-19, this event has been postponed.
Kulanu will host the first-ever Pan African Conference for African Jewish communities this May in Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast, West Africa). This conference will bring together Jewish community leaders from across the continent and focus on various aspects of Jewish law and practice. The conference is being held in conjunction with Ohr Torah Nidchei Yisrael.
“This historic first-time event will be a time for Sub-Saharan Jewish leadership to celebrate Shabbat together, study Torah, sing, bond, form relationships and share challenges and successes. We are so happy to be able to be part of shaping the future of the emerging Jewish communities of Africa,” said Kulanu’s First Vice President, Bonita Nathan Sussman.
We are currently fundraising for the Pan African Conference so we can sponsor more attendees to come to this historic event. Please donate and share our Facebook Fundraiser. You can also donate online or by mail – go to https://kulanu.org/donate for instructions, and mention the “Pan African Conference” in the comments online or the memo of your check. The cost is $1,500 for each attendee.
All donors that contribute $100 or more will receive a special thank you video after the conference.
