On #GivingTuesday Join Kulanu Matching Grant Challenge
Greetings,
This year Kulanu (Hebrew for “all of us”) is participating in a call to action that will make history. On Tuesday, December 3, we will be one of hundreds of organizations country-wide that will reach out to our friends and donors for financial contributions. This special day will bring together charities, families, businesses, schools, community groups, and individuals to celebrate philanthropic giving to those in need.
Kulanu’s work helping isolated and emerging Jewish communities throughout the world needs you more than ever during this Hanukkah season. This year we have a challenge grant from a generous donor who had promised a gift of $25,000. But in order to receive these funds, we need to raise that same amount by 1/15/2014. Today, we are asking you to join with other supporters and make a donation to Kulanu so that we can take advantage if this challenge grant and continue the vital work of helping Jewish communities around the world.
This year Kulanu supported programs in seven countries, providing funds for education, nutrition, Jewish learning opportunities, synagogue and community building, economic development and leadership training. We can all be proud of what we have accomplished.
Kulanu relies primarily on volunteers to support its work and your commitment is essential to the success of these and other projects. You can provide an online donation or mail check payable to “Kulanu” in USD ($) to Harriet Bograd, Kulanu, 165 West End Ave. 3R, New York, NY 10023. Please write “matching gift” in your comments.
To learn more about Kulanu programs and communities, please read Kulanu year-end report. My deepest thanks for your contribution.
With all best wishes,
Harriet Bograd, President
