Kulanu friends all over the U.S. and Canada are busy at work organizing their communities to welcome Athalia Nalongo from the Abayudaya community for our fall speaking tour. You can read about the details of the tour here:

We have already confirmed events in Manhattan; Tarrytown, NY; Bay Shore, Long Island; Philadelphia; and in Newton, Sharon, and Marblehead, MA. We’re also talking with friends in Buffalo, NY; Washington, DC; Maryland; Chicago; San Francisco; and many places in Canada.  This work-in-progress calendar shows when she’ll be in your area and which dates are still open, here:

In communities where no one group can afford to pay $1250 to host our speaker, synagogues and others are joining together to host our speaker. Kulanu board member Barbara Vinick approached five community organizations on Boston’s North Shore and asked each to donate about $300 – and she’s gotten positive responses from a Jewish Community Center, a Jewish Federation, a Jewish day school, a synagogue, and a historical society!
