Kulanu Seeks Photo Administrator-Editor Volunteer

Kulanu, Inc (www.kulanu.org) is seeking a volunteer to help us organize our photos, which are collected by our constituents around the world and put into separate online photo albums. Occasionally the photos need some basic editing, but usually they just need a good eye to determine the best shots, and a clever mind to help us utilize these fantastic photos to tell the stories of our communities.

General responsibilities of our Photo Editor-Administrator volunteer would include sorting through photos sent via email and Phanfare, the program that hosts our online albums (see kulanu.phanfare.com); choosing the best photos, making edits as needed; and drafting captions and descriptions for albums and album sub-sections.

Here is the position description from the Kulanu web site:

Multi-Media/Graphic Arts Volunteer
Are you good with Photoshop or PowerPoint, or do you enjoy sharing fantastic images of diverse Jewish communities? Kulanu regularly receives photographs and entire albums from our community members and volunteers that help tell the story of our Jewish communities; we utilize these photos to promote our communities on social media, to illustrate articles and web pages, create slideshow presentations, and design flyers and brochures. If you have any type of photo-editing or photo-/video-organizing experience (including Phanfare, PowerPoint, YouTube, etc), we want you!

We are also glad to train you in how to use Phanfare and basic photo editing programs (PC or Mac is fine).

If you enjoy looking through fascinating photographs, telling stories, and feeling connected to people across the globe, this position is for you. Click here to apply for this volunteer role online!

For other ways to contribute to Kulanu’s work, check out the Getting Involved and Volunteersections of the Kulanu web site, kulanu.org

Please feel free to share this announcement with anyone who might be interested in stepping into this volunteer position. Thank you!
