Kulanu Seeking Room and Board near Brandeis University for Nigerian Jewish Scholar

Dynamic Nigerian Jewish leader and scholar, Remy Ilona, has the opportunity to come to Brandeis University (outside Boston, MA) for a master’s degree program in Jewish and Near Eastern studies, and bring back a wealth of knowledge to his Igbo community. He will only be able to come if he can find a family to offer him room and board. Supporting Remy is not only a mitzvah for one passionate Jew, but for an entire community searching  for knowledge of Jewish texts and traditions.

The Igbo tribe is known as the “Jews of Africa,” and many Igbos believe
that they descend from ancient Israelites. Remy’s research and his books have explored Igbo traditions and history and their connections to ancient Israel and Judaism.
