We hope you can attend one of these presentations and get to know Ms. Nambi and the Abayudaya community of Uganda, or that you will pass this on to relatives and friends in communities where she will speak.

In 2013, young activist Shoshanna Nambi of Uganda became the first Jewish woman to represent the Abayudaya community on this annual Kulanu-organized tour, and Kulanu is delighted to host her once again. The 2014 Kulanu-Abayudaya Women’s Speaking Tour will run this October and November in the United States and Canada. Audiences will be inspired by the fascinating history of the Abayudaya community’s embrace of Judaism and their ability to overcome hardships. Additionally, Shoshanna will share her unique perspective on the role of women in this Ugandan Jewish community today, and inform audiences about the education, nutrition, economic development, and health projects supported by Kulanu.
