Cubo-Caribbean Jewish Holiday Music – March 29

Benjamin Lapidus
Presents Herencia Judia
Sunday, March 29 at 3pm

Latin music scholar and Cuban tres master Benjamin Lapidus, joined by his 8-person band and Cantor Sam Levine, expand the definition of Jewish music. They perform music featured on Lapidus’s latest CD Herencia Judia, melding the rhythmic traditions of Cuba, Puerto Rico, and the Caribbean with his Jewish heritage. Lapidus and band will provide a profoundly moving experience — spiritual songs with a Caribbean beat!
