Spearheaded life-saving inclusive infrastructure development in Zimbabwe, Uganda, and Tanzania.

Our Work

At Kulanu, we work to support, connect, and celebrate diverse Jewish communities across the globe.

Empowering Lemba Villages in Zimbabwe

Kulanu is currently managing a multi-million-dollar grant to provide clean water to five Lemba villages, improving health and well-being.

Fostering Unity Across Sub-Saharan Africa

Kulanu brought together Jewish representatives from multiple countries to establish the Sub-Saharan African Jewish Alliance (SAJA), fostering a network of mutual support and cultural exchange. 

Distributing Judaica and Facilitating Global Outreach

With volunteer help, Kulanu delivered donated Torah scrolls to Brazil and distributed prayer books and Judaica to communities in the Philippines, Italy, Nicaragua, Honduras, and India, enhancing access to essential religious resources.

Networking Across the Globe

Kulanu continues to host a popular Online Speaker Series and Podcast, providing a platform for partner communities in Indonesia, Cameroon, Majorca, Tanzania, India, Suriname and beyond to share their unique stories and experiences with a global audience. 

Kulanu inspires and engages people worldwide by sharing the stories of Kulanu partner communities through our website, podcast, videos, social media, magazines, press coverage, TV and radio appearances, speaking engagements, and active participation in conferences

Online Multilingual Courses

Kulanu has held online courses in Spanish, French, and English, covering Jewish holidays, Hebrew, Kosher laws, and more. These courses were designed for students from Nicaragua, Honduras, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Senegal, and Congo, fostering cultural understanding and promoting education across diverse regions.

Kulanu and Genie Milgrom have been a great help and support for our community during the Covid. Through the shiurim and other classes, our community has fortified itself and been able to maintain unity during this trying time of social distancing.

Building Community Centers, Developing Local Infrastructure and Overseeing Food Security Projects

Kulanu has funded grants to construct synagogues in Zimbabwe and Uganda, providing spaces for worship and cultural preservation.

Supported the establishment of a mikvah (ritual bath) in Tanzania, ensuring the practice of Jewish traditions.

Enabled the creation of a Jewish-themed primary school in Uganda, promoting cultural inclusivity by welcoming students of all faiths, including Christians and Muslims.
